Tamuning, Guam, Friday, October 15, 2021- Our military service members pay the ultimate sacrifice to keep us safe, so supporting them and their families is also essential to us at GTA. As corporate partners, we are humbled and honored to be working with the Hershel Woody Williams Medal of Honor Foundation to honor all Gold Star Families and fallen service members dating back to World War II.
A Gold Star Families Memorial Monument will be built at Skinner Plaza in Hagatna, adjacent to the Purple Heart Memorial. The monument pays tribute to Gold Star families who lost a loved one while serving in the military. Their fallen loved one was either killed in action, missing in action, or died while serving in the military. GTA is among several other local businesses that contributed to the effort.
A groundbreaking ceremony took place today Friday, October 15. Once completed, Guam will be the first U.S. Territory to have such a memorial built and dedicated in Honor of All Gold Star Families of our fallen from Guam and this region.
