Tamuning, Guam, Thursday, December 16, 2021- The GTA Familia is making the holiday season a little brighter for foster children and families. Our company hosted an employee donation drive to benefit Harvest House, whose mission is to provide physical needs, spiritual encouragement, and emotional support for foster children and families.
There are more than 500 children in need of finding a home each year, some of which have little to no clothing and necessities. The drive is just one way GTA gives back to those in need.
Kamia Dierking, GTA Director of Employee Experience, says, “Our culture at GTA is a result of staying true to our values, and we share a deep connection to the communities we serve. Our GTA Familia finds meaning in opportunities to do something well outside their day-to-day routine. This year was challenging for all of us. We are so inspired by the way our GTA Familia continues to rise to the challenge of continuing to serve others.”
GTA donated toys and essential items such as toothpaste, shampoo, conditioner, soap, diapers and pull-ups, underwear, and socks for all sizes.
Bethany Taylor, Executive Director and Founder of Harvest House, says, "GTA has a close relationship with Harvest House. I know every year it is their intention to spread JOY in their gift giving to us, and once again the employees at GTA did just that. Harvest House is truly blessed by their generosity. Our foster children on this island will have a very Merry Christmas."
Harvest House is an ‘Empowered by GTA’ partner. By providing much-needed resources and complementary telecommunication services year-round, we keep Harvest House connected to stay true to its mission to support foster children safely and ensure they are welcomed into a loving home environment.
