The global program demonstrates that Guam has the highest safety, compliance, and cleanliness standards during the COVID-19 pandemic. The Guam Visitors Bureau (GVB) continues to endorse the Safe Travels Certification. Guam Safe Certification and WTTC Safe Travels Stamp Program launched on March 15 as part of Governor Lou Leon Guerrero's reopening plan for tourism. The program's mission is to help rebuild confidence among the local community and visitors. GVB serves as the official organization of the program with the assistance of the Department of Public Health and Social Services.
The University of Guam School of Business and Public Administration developed the Guam Safe Certification to identify establishments with the highest standards following local government health and safety guidelines.
The WTTC created the first-ever safety and hygiene stamp. This globally accepted stamp enables travelers to identify destinations worldwide that have adopted standardized health and hygiene protocols.
