GTA Announces 2022-2023 Youth Leader Finalists

(Tamuning, Guam) Thursday, October 13, 2022 - GTA is excited to announce this year's 2022- 2023 Youth Leader finalists and overall male and female winners.  Guam’s telecommunications leader created the Youth Leader program in 2019 and has since given opportunities to future leaders who make positive changes in the community. An awards ceremony was held yesterday at the GTA Experience Center in Tamuning.

Roland Certeza, GTA CEO said, "The GTA brand is all about supporting our local community and we start with our youth. We are extremely proud of our Youth Leader program which recognizes the island’s up and coming high school students and provides resources to further develop their talents. Every year we are blown away by the quality of the students that apply, and we would like to congratulate our Finalists and Winners.”

In addition to the premium smartphone and a GTA mobile plan for the academic year, each Overall Winner receives a $1000 cash scholarship and 160,000 United Airline Miles.

·         Mark Wang, Senior at St. John’s School

-          Member of the Student Council, National Honor Society, Tri M,

-          Program Manager for Junior Achievement of Guam’s Economics for Success Program, a member of the JA Board of Directors, and was awarded President of the year for the JA Company Program for SY 2021-2022

-          He’s an Eagle Scout and plays First Violin in Orchestra
