(Tamuning, Guam) Monday, June 10, 2024- GTA, in collaboration with the Guam Green Growth MakerSpace, proudly organized and hosted a two-day camp aimed at nurturing young minds in the fields of coding, robotics, and environmental sustainability.
The event, held last Thursday and Friday at GTA Experience Center in Tamuning and the Guam Green Growth MakerSpace in Chamorro village, brought together ten enthusiastic youth aged 12 to 16, offering them an immersive experience in technology and eco-consciousness.
The workshop served as a platform for budding tech enthusiasts to delve into the fundamentals of coding, robotics, and the circular economy. Through engaging sessions led by experienced mentors, participants gained invaluable insights into introductory coding principles, robotics fundamentals, and the importance of sustainability in today's world.

Special thanks to Colette Beausoleil, JFK Teacher and Teacher of the Year; Jasper Danan, Application Developer from GTA; Kaifeng Chen, volunteer, recent graduate of Syracuse University majoring in Mechanical Engineering; Emily Wendte, MakerSpace Coordinator; and Shawn Garcia, MakerSpace Attendant, both from Guam Green Growth.
Together, their dedication and expertise were instrumental in making this workshop a resounding success. Their commitment to empowering young minds, fostering innovation, and driving positive change in the community is truly commendable.
