GTA Hosts Successful Mobile Manåmko’ Workshop in Sinajana

(Tamuning, Guam) Tuesday, July 16, 2024 - GTA proudly hosted the eighth installment of its Mobile Manåmko  workshop series in the village of Sinajana yesterday. This initiative, aimed at empowering the elderly community with essential digital skills, continues to make a significant impact as it helps participants navigate and utilize their mobile devices effectively.

The workshop saw almost 30 senior residents of Sinajana at the Senior Citizen Center, who eagerly engaged in hands-on training sessions led by our knowledgeable instructors. Participants were taught a range of skills, from basic smartphone operations to advanced app usage, ensuring they could stay connected with family and friends, access important information, and enjoy the benefits of modern technology.

"Our goal with the Mobile Manåmko workshops is to bridge the digital divide and enhance the quality of life for our elderly community," said Michele Catahay Perez, Sr. Community Relations Manager at GTA. "It's heartening to see the joy and confidence our participants gain as they become more comfortable with their devices."

The Sinajana workshop marks the eighth successful session since its introduction to the community last year, and GTA is excited to announce that there are two more workshops scheduled for 2024. These upcoming sessions will continue to build on the momentum and positive feedback received from the community.

September 16, 10 am to 11 am - Yona Senior Center

November 18, 10 am to 11 am - Hagat Senior Center
