(Tamuning, Guam) Friday, February 14, 2025 – As part of Random Acts of Kindness week, GTA brought an unforgettable surprise to the seniors of Simon Sanchez High School yesterday with a pep rally and mini concert featuring KPV and guest artist Fia at the JFK High School gym in Tamuning. Kindness stations were set up throughout the event to spread joy and uplift their spirits.
The Class of 2025 has faced extraordinary challenges throughout their high school journey, including navigating double sessions at John F. Kennedy High School while awaiting a new school and enduring the disruptions of the pandemic. To recognize their resilience, GTA, in collaboration with Crowns Guam, hosted this special event to uplift and celebrate them as they approach graduation.
The energy was electric as students filled the venue, cheering and dancing to live performances. The event also served as an opportunity to remind the seniors that their hard work and perseverance have not gone unnoticed.
“We wanted to show our appreciation for the Simon Sanchez seniors, who have overcome so much,” said Michele Catahay Perez, Director of Community Relations at GTA. “This was our way of celebrating them, spreading joy, and reminding them that their future is bright.”
GTA extends its gratitude to Simon Sanchez High School’s administration, Principal Carla Masnayon, and Crowns Guam for their invaluable partnership in making this event possible.
Through initiatives like Random Acts of Kindness, GTA continues to find meaningful ways to give back to the community, supporting Guam’s youth and fostering positivity across the island.
