(Tamuning, Guam) Tuesday, May 13, 2025 – In celebration of Senior Citizens Month, GTA is proud to announce the 2025 schedule for its Mobile Manåmko’ workshops—free, one-hour sessions designed to help elderly residents learn how to use their mobile devices and stay connected with loved ones.
Now in its third year, the Mobile Manåmko’ program continues to serve as a vital initiative in promoting digital literacy and inclusion among Guam’s senior population. Since its launch in 2023, the workshops have reached every senior center on the island, empowering hundreds of manåmko’ through hands-on support and technology education.
“These workshops are rooted in dignity, confidence, and connection,” said Michele Catahay Perez, Director of Community Relations at GTA. “What started as a simple outreach has grown into a meaningful islandwide program. Our Smart Center experts and dedicated volunteers are ready to help our manåmko’ feel more empowered, independent, and confident navigating the digital world.”
Each session is open to individuals aged 60 and older and limited to one session per person. Proof of identification is required upon check-in.
For assistance, email prsquad@gta.net or contact the mayor’s office of the village where the workshop will be held.
