GTA Launches Back-to-School Drive to Support Mañe'lu

(Tamuning, Guam) Monday, July 7, 2025 — GTA is proud to launch its annual Back-to-School Drive, this year benefiting Mañe'lu, a nonprofit organization dedicated to empowering youth and families on Guam through culturally relevant support and mentorship. The drive aims to collect essential school supplies to help children start the new school year ready and confident.

From now until July 31, GTA invites the community to donate new school supplies such as backpacks, notebooks, pencils, pencil bags, crayons, colored pencils, child-safe scissors, folders, binders, and other basic classroom items. Donation bins are available at GTA Experience Centers in Tamuning, Micronesia Mall, NEX, and AAFES.

“We’re proud to partner with Mañe'lu to help ensure that every child has the tools they need for a successful school year,” said Michele Catahay Perez, Director of Community Relations at GTA. “This effort is part of our ongoing commitment to supporting the next generation and giving back to our island community.”

Mañe'lu serves Guam’s youth and families by providing culturally grounded programs that foster personal growth, healthy relationships, and stronger communities. Their mission is rooted in the CHamoru value of inafa’maolek — restoring harmony by taking care of one another.
