(Tamuning, Guam) Friday, October 17, 2025 – GTA is inviting Guam’s elderly community to join a special Mobile Manåmko’ Workshop at the Micronesia Mall (former JP Superstore, Ross/GTA wing) on Saturday, November 22, from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
The free community event will feature 30-minute interactive sessions where participants can learn practical smartphone skills — from making calls and sending messages to connecting to Wi-Fi, managing photos and storage, and staying safe from scams. After each session, attendees can visit Ask Me Tables for personalized support from GTA Smart Center representatives and volunteers.
Sharon Davis, Senior Vice President of Community Engagement & External Affairs at GTA, added, “Our Manåmko’ are the foundation of our island and our families. This program helps bridge the gap between generations — ensuring that every person, regardless of age, can stay connected in today’s digital world. It’s part of our mission of community care and our belief that We Start with You.”
GTA has hosted its Mobile Manåmko’ workshops across Guam’s village centers for the past three years, bringing digital learning directly to the community. This year, the program expands into a new setting at Micronesia Mall—making it easier for Guam’s Manåmko’ and their families to join, learn, and connect in a warm, welcoming space. The workshop is open to all island residents, no matter which phone or provider they use — everyone is welcome to learn and connect.
To ensure a comfortable experience, space is limited, and advance registration is required. The workshop is free for individuals aged 60 and older, and each session will be held in small groups to allow for hands-on learning.

The Mobile Manåmko’ program is part of GTA Gives, the company’s ongoing community outreach initiative dedicated to empowering residents through technology, education, and compassion. Since its launch, GTA has hosted workshops in multiple villages, reaching hundreds of seniors who now use technology to connect with loved ones, access information, and enjoy greater independence.
