(Sinajana, Guam) — Thursday, January 15, 2026 — GTA employees volunteered at the Guam Animals In Need (GAIN) Spay & Neuter Island Pets (SNIP) Clinic in Sinajana on Wednesday, January 14, supporting efforts to reduce pet overpopulation and improve animal welfare across Guam.
The community clinic is hosted by the Department of Agriculture Guam, in partnership with the Guam Animals In Need, and is being held at the Sinajana Mayor’s Office from January 13 through January 22. The clinic features high-quality, high-volume spay-neuter (HQHVSN) procedures led by Dr. Mariana Turner, Territorial Veterinarian, and Dr. Brenda Smith.
GTA volunteers assisted clinic staff throughout the day to help ensure smooth operations during appointment-only surgeries offered at reduced cost to support residents and address Guam’s free-roaming animal population.
“GAIN has been a longtime partner of GTA, and we’re proud to support their mission through both volunteerism and full telecommunications services,” said Michele Catahay Perez, Director of Community Relations at GTA. “Giving our time to causes that strengthen our community—including animal welfare—is an important part of who we are.”
Through GTA Gives, the company continues to support local nonprofits through volunteerism, in-kind services, and long-term community partnerships.
