GTA Hosted Social Media Contest for Educators

Winners received gift certificates to School Essentials

Tamuning, Guam, Friday, August 5, 2022- GTA hosted a week-long social media contest in July where individuals were encouraged to nominate a local educator, giving them a chance to win gift certificates so they could purchase resources for the new school year. GTA chose two educators this week, each of them winning $200 gift certificates for School Essentials, Guam's premier educational resource store in Tamuning.

Through its #GTAGives philanthropic initiative, the local telecom company created the contest to support teachers as they prepare their classrooms and receive new students for SY 2022 to 2023.

Chosen winners were Sabrina Ishmael, a 3rd-grade teacher at Inarajan Elementary School, and Jarryd Figueroa, a 5th-grade teacher at Upi Elementary School in Yigo.
