(Tamuning, Guam), Tuesday, August 1, 2023- GTA is excited to announce the official launch of the GTA Youth Leader program for the 2023-2024 academic year. Applications are accepted from now until August 31st.
Designed to recognize and celebrate outstanding high school juniors and seniors, the program shines a spotlight on those who have exhibited exceptional leadership qualities, positively impacting the community, and demonstrating academic excellence. GTA will bestow prestigious honors upon the finalists and award the top male and female candidates as the 2023-2024 GTA Youth Leaders.
Nate Denight, GTA’s Vice President of Product and Marketing, says “The Youth Leader program is a way for us to give back to the youth on Guam. Our program gives the youth an opportunity to work towards their future aspirations. It provides them with an outlet to connect with their peers, encouragement to inspire others, and a steppingstone to their goals.”
- Be a Guam resident, a high school junior or senior, and enrolled in a local high school for the 2023-2024 academic year.
- A complimentary GTA mobile phone service and the latest iPhone or Android device for one full academic school year.
- Up to 160,000 air mileage points for SY 2023-2024 for the purpose of approved competitions in the arts, sports, or academics.
- Applicants must submit an online GTA Youth Leader form, which can be found at www.gta.net. Site will close by end of day on August 31st. Winners will be announced in late September.
For the 2022-2023 school year, GTA selected 10 students to be Youth Leaders. The top 2 of this cohort were Cheyunne Ahn from Southern High School and Mark Wang from St. John’s School.
