Tamuning, Guam (Friday, February 14, 2025)– Special Olympics Guam is proud to announce that GTA has donated over $1,300 to support its mission through the Holiday Giving Round Up Campaign. This initiative encouraged GTA customers to round up their change or make a donation at GTA retail stores during the holiday season, furthering efforts to empower athletes with intellectual disabilities through sports.
Each year, GTA employees select a charitable organization to benefit from this campaign, ensuring that the contributions make a direct impact on the local community. Special Olympics Guam was honored to be chosen as the 2024 recipient, allowing the organization to continue providing sports training and competitive opportunities for athletes of all abilities.
"We are incredibly grateful to GTA and its customers for their generosity and support of Special Olympics Guam," said Frank Florig, President and CEO of Special Olympics Guam. "Every donation helps create a more inclusive community where our athletes can train, compete, and reach their full potential."
Sharon Davis, Vice President of Community Engagement and External Affairs at GTA, expressed appreciation for the participation of GTA customers. “We are grateful to our customers who participated in this campaign and helped us support Special Olympics Guam. This donation will help provide opportunities for athletes with intellectual disabilities to train, compete, and build confidence through sports.”
