(Tamuning, Guam) Friday, April 24, 2026 - GTA today announced a $25,000 donation to support ongoing disaster recovery efforts across Micronesia- including Saipan, Tinian, Rota, and Chuuk - through the Ayuda Foundation following Super Typhoon Sinlaku, reinforcing its commitment to our neighboring islands during times of need. The donation was presented at the Ayuda Foundation’s staging site at the former LBJ Elementary School in Tamuning, where supplies and contributions are being collected and coordinated for distribution.
The contribution will help deliver critical aid and resources to impacted communities, supporting families and local organizations as they rebuild and recover. GTA has a longstanding history of supporting the Ayuda Foundation during times of crisis and recognizes the organization’s ability to mobilize quickly and provide meaningful, on-the-ground assistance.
"We see tremendous value in the work the Ayuda Foundation continues to lead across Micronesia,” said Roland Certeza, President and CEO of GTA. “In times like these, our neighboring islands are not just partners. They are family. Supporting their recovery isn’t just important, it’s who we are, and we’re committed to being there every step of the way."
“We are deeply grateful for GTA’s continued support and partnership,” said Carlotta Leon Guerrero, Executive Director of Ayuda Foundation. “Their generosity allows us to reach more families across Saipan, Tinian, Rota, and Chuuk with the resources they need to recover and rebuild.”
In addition to the donation, GTA is inviting customers and the community to support recovery efforts through its Round Up Campaign. Customers can donate to the Ayuda Foundation by rounding up purchases or making a direct donation at GTA retail locations through September 30, 2026, with all proceeds benefiting ongoing relief and rebuilding initiatives.
“Recovery is a collective effort,” added Sharon Davis, Senior Vice President of Community Relations and Enterprise Sales. “This campaign creates a simple but meaningful way for our community to come together and support our neighbors across Micronesia.”
GTA remains committed to supporting island communities through meaningful action that strengthens long-term recovery and resilience.
