Tamuning, Guam, (Tuesday, September 29, 2020) - Guam has a long history of families and communities taking care of each other. At the core of our culture and traditions is the value of inafa’maolek centered around reciprocity, respect for others, and family.
The ongoing efforts of GTA’s Team Up for Guam is a reminder that our island remains resilient during trying times and that we lean on each other for care and support.
Today, GTA teamed up with Dusit Beach Resort Guam and Patterson Enterprises to fill 300 care packages for our healthcare heroes at the Guam Memorial Hospital. It is our way of showing gratitude and support for our medical professionals who have courageously continued to fight this invisible enemy since March. In addition to the care packages, GTA also donated 30 Samsung tablets with cases to keep patients in isolation connected to the medical teams and to family who are not able to physically be there with them.
Roland Certeza, President of GTA, says, “There is no doubt that we are all facing difficult times right now. Now more than ever, our healthcare workers and patients need our support. We want them to know that they are not alone in this fight. We also thank Dusit Beach Resort Guam and Patterson Enterprises for being great corporate partners and assisting without hesitation."
Each care package for frontline heroes includes shampoo and shower caps from Dusit Beach Resort Guam and premium chocolates, dried mangoes, and pineapples from Patterson Enterprises. We also included a GTA charger for their mobile device and a gift certificate so they can stay connected with our products and services.
