GTA to Resume Mobile Manåmko' Workshops

(Tamuning, Guam) Friday, September 8, 2023- GTA, Guam's longest-serving telecom provider, is excited to announce that it will resume its Mobile Manåmko' workshops. These tech workshops, temporarily put on hold due to Typhoon Mawar, will once again empower our Manåmko' or senior citizens to harness the benefits of technology.

GTA fosters connections among senior citizens through the workshops by providing the necessary skills and tools to keep them connected and informed. The GTA Smart Center teams lead the workshops and are designed to give senior citizens hands-on smartphone and tablet training.

Michele Catahay Perez, Sr. Community Relations Manager at GTA, says, "Through our Mobile Manåmko' workshops, we continue to bridge the digital divide among our elderly, especially after the setbacks caused by Typhoon Mawar. Our team is dedicated to helping them embrace technology and stay connected with loved ones."

GTA has held workshops in Macheche (Dededo), Agana Heights, and Inalåhan. The workshop will resume on Monday, September 18, at 10 a.m. at the Yigo Senior Citizen Center. Other workshops will be held in Mangilao on Monday, November 20, 2023 and in Tamuning on Monday, January 15, 2024.
