(Tamuning, Guam) Friday, September 22, 2023- On Monday, September 18, GTA hosted its fourth Mobile Manåmko' workshop, this time at the Yigo Senior Citizen Center. The series of workshops, led by Smart Center experts and volunteers, are part of the local telecom company's ongoing commitment to empowering senior citizens with the knowledge and skills to make the most of modern technology. Attendees received printed materials to help them.
Esther Llanes from Dededo says she learned a lot from the workshop. "We learned how to put appointments on our calendar, which is helpful because we only use our phones for emergency calls and don't do too much on them. But this Mobile Manåmko' Program helped with this," she added.
Esther's husband Paul Llanes also shares his sentiments, saying, "This helps us older people. I encourage others to come up and attend these workshops because technology is changing so fast. It's great that GTA is providing services for the seniors. And for their team of experts to come out and bring this to us- we appreciate it."
GTA is dedicated to giving back to the community and plans to continue hosting another workshop on November 20 in Mangilao and another in Tamuning on January 15, 2024.
