(Talo'fo'fo, Guam - Wednesday, May 13,2026) — GTA, through its Village Mural Project, has partnered with Valley of the Latte, the villages of Inalåhan and Talo'fo'fo, and Harvest Christian Academy to transform a key bridge into a vibrant work of art in celebration of the Valley of the Latte Festival happening on Saturday, May 16.
Led by local artist April Colitoy, who also brought to life GTA’s mural in Hagåtña, the project brought together students, community members, and village leaders in a true collaborative effort. Students from Harvest Christian Academy worked alongside the artist, helping paint elements of the mural and gaining hands-on experience in community-based art. Prior to the mural installation, the mayors’ offices of Inalåhan and Talo'fo'fo led efforts to clean and spruce up the bridge, creating a refreshed canvas for the artwork.
Inspired by the unique identity of both villages, the mural incorporates recognizable icons, cultural elements, and landmarks that reflect the heritage and spirit of the south, creating something meaningful and welcoming for residents and visitors alike.
This collaboration was made possible through the leadership of Dave Tydingco of Valley of the Latte, whose vision for enhancing the area brought partners together.
“This project is about more than beautification. It’s about bringing community, culture, and people together,” said Dave Tydingco. “By highlighting the unique character of Inalåhan and Talo'fo'fo, we’re creating something that residents can be proud of and that visitors can truly experience.”
“We drew inspiration from the stories, landmarks, and identity of both villages,” said artist April Colitoy. “It was important to create something that reflects the heart of the community while making the space more vibrant and inviting for everyone.”
“We’re proud to be part of this collaboration and to continue expanding our Village Mural Project in a way that brings people together,” said Michele Catahay Perez, Director of Community Relations at GTA. “Projects like this reflect the power of partnership and the importance of celebrating our island’s stories through art.”
