GTA Supports Customers Through ACP Conclusion

(Tamuning, Guam) Wednesday, January 31, 2024 - GTA is proactively managing the conclusion of the Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP) to ensure a smooth transition for its customers. The FCC recently announced the end of the ACP, a federally established initiative to help qualifying recipients.  The$14.2 billion budget which was set up to help enrollees, had benefitted over 22 million households with a monthly internet discount of up to $30.

As of now, ACP is projected to exhaust its funds in April 2024.  A measure to replenish program funding is pending action from the U.S. Congress. In the meantime, to aid the transition toward winding down the program, GTA is actively supporting its customers through this process.

Key Information for Customers:

·         ACP applications and enrollments will stop processing after February 7, 2024.

·         Approved households receiving the discount before February 8, 2024, will continue to benefit until ACP funds are depleted, as long as they remain enrolled.

·         After the expected depletion of ACP funds in April 2024, participating households will no longer receive ACP discounts.

·            Additional details on the wind-down process can be found in the PDF below.

Existing ACP households with GTA will continue receiving discounted internet services until the program's conclusion. Customers will receive notices explaining the impact on their bills, the last bill date with the ACP benefit, and options for adjusting services. Importantly, switching internet plans during the transition is allowed without penalty.

For inquiries or concerns, customers can contact the dedicated ACP Customer Service Team at 671-644-4227 or via email at acp@gta.net.
