(Tamuning, Guam) Monday, September 23, 2024 – GTA proudly sponsored the Guam Women’s Chamber of Commerce (GWCC) annual Fanachu Famalåo’an event, held last Thursday at the Dusit Thani Resort Guam. The highly anticipated event, which translates to "Women Rising," brought together dynamic women from across the island for a day of inspiration, empowerment, and networking.
In addition to being a sponsor, GTA actively participated in the event's technology panel, which focused on the growing importance of digital presence. Jisela Martinez, Stategic Business Development Lead from GTA, joined the panel to discuss technological advancements through a new integrated network platform, while Kersha Taitano, GTA Corporate Relations Coordinator, shared valuable insights on how to optimize social media presence to maximize engagement and brand visibility. Attendees left the session equipped with practical tips for elevating their online platforms and businesses.
As a key part of the day’s closing activities, GTA also sponsored the Empower Hour, providing an engaging space for attendees to connect, network, and build relationships. This unique networking hour highlighted the event’s theme of collaboration and support among Guam’s women leaders and entrepreneurs.
GTA’s commitment to empowering women and fostering economic development has been evident through its 11-year support of the Guam Women’s Chamber of Commerce, dating back to the organization’s inception. Over the years, GTA has consistently partnered with the GWCC to create opportunities for women to thrive both professionally and personally.
"We are honored to continue our longstanding partnership with the GWCC and to support initiatives that foster growth and innovation for women in business," said Michele Catahay Perez, Sr. Community Relations Manager at GTA. "Through sponsorships like Fanachu Famalåo’an and our contributions to the technology panel, we hope to inspire more women to harness the power of digital tools and stay ahead in an ever-evolving world."
The Fanachu Famalåo’an event underscores GTA’s ongoing commitment to championing initiatives that uplift the local community and empower the next generation of leaders in Guam.
