GTA Donates Easter Gifts for Children at the Alee Shelter

Tamuning, Guam, Thursday, April 14, 2022- In April, not only do we celebrate Easter, but we bring awareness to this month as Child Abuse Prevention Month. GTA gives back by helping Catholic Social Service stuff Easter baskets for the children at Alee Shelter. Our company donated gifts to about 25 children ranging from ages 1 to 17.

Michele Catahay Perez, Community Relations Manager at GTA, says, "Spreading joy to our children in need is a small way we give back. The Alee Shelter is doing a tremendous job in taking care of our children and opening its doors to those who are victims of abuse or neglect."

Leinani Naholowaa, Alee Shelter Program Manager, says by providing Easter baskets to the children, they can enjoy positive and fun experiences despite their circumstances. She says, "The Alee Shelter will use all of these toys and gifts to make beautiful baskets for our kids who are with us who won't be with your families during this Easter holiday. We are very appreciative. Every little thing counts - sharing with them and helping them remember that they are acknowledged and that they are loved in their community."

The Alee Shelter is a local nonprofit organization and safe house for women and children affected by domestic violence and sexual abuse.
