GTA Accepting Applications for 2026 Youth Leader Program

(Tamuning, Guam) Sunday, July 26, 2026– GTA is now accepting applications for its Youth Leader Program for SY 2026-2027, an initiative that recognizes Guam's outstanding high school students who demonstrate academic excellence, leadership, and a commitment to serving their communities.

Youth empowerment remains at the heart of GTA's commitment to the community. Established in 2019, the GTA Youth Leader Program honors students who are creating positive change through leadership, volunteerism, and service while excelling in the classroom. Since its launch, the program has become one of GTA's signature youth initiatives, drawing more than 100 applications last year alone.

Applications will be accepted through August 30, 2026.

Applicants must:

  • Be a Guam resident.
  • Be enrolled in a local high school for the 2026–2027 school year.
  • Maintain a minimum 3.0 cumulative GPA.
  • Submit one letter of recommendation.
  • Demonstrate leadership and a commitment to creating positive change in their school and community.

The Top Five GTA Youth Leaders will each receive an iPad Air Pro (256GB) and a $1,000 scholarship in recognition of their achievements.

In addition, the Top Two GTA Youth Leaders will each receive up to 100,000 United Airlines miles to attend approved competitions, conferences, or camps in the areas of sports, the arts, or academics, helping them pursue opportunities that further develop their talents and leadership.
