(Tamuning, Guam) Tuesday, April 15, 2025 –GTA continued its annual tradition of giving back this Easter by donating colorful Easter eggs and baskets filled with goodies to the children at Alee Shelter. For several years, GTA has supported this heartfelt initiative, reflecting its commitment to care for the most vulnerable members of our island community—our kids.
The donation is part of GTA Gives, the company’s philanthropic program dedicated to creating meaningful moments and uplifting those in need across Guam.
“We believe every child deserves to experience the joy of Easter,” said Michele Catahay Perez, Director of Community Relations at GTA. “It’s a small gesture that brings big smiles, and we’re grateful for the opportunity to brighten the day for the kids at Alee Shelter.”
The Alee Shelter serves as both an emergency receiving home for children and a protective shelter for women. Children from birth to seventeen who are victims of abuse or neglect are placed at the shelter by Child Protective Services. It also provides a safe haven for women—alone or with children—fleeing family domestic violence or sexual assault.
Leinani Naholowaa, Alee Shelter Program Manager, says. “Alee Shelter staff are grateful for GTA and their volunteers for always thinking about our children. It takes a community to end abuse. It also takes a community to heal. The little things matter the most to children, especially during the holidays. Thank you GTA!"
Through GTA Gives, the company remains committed to nurturing partnerships with local organizations that share a common goal of creating a safer, stronger, and more compassionate island.
