GTA Provides Post-Storm Network Update Following Typhoon Sinlaku

(Tamuning, Guam – Wednesday, April 15, 2026) GTA reports that its network infrastructure remains in good condition following Typhoon Sinlaku. Most service disruptions are the result of widespread commercial power outages across the island, and current efforts are focused on safely refueling generators to sustain operations at critical sites.

GTA’s priority remains the safety of its employees and the community as Guam remains in COR 1 and awaits the official all-clear. As of this morning, Typhoon Sinlaku has downgraded from a super typhoon to a typhoon. Network sites are being secured, and teams are maintaining operations where possible. Customers may experience congestion on cell towers due to increased reliance on wireless data during this time.

GTA has temporarily suspended all service disconnections. Retail stores remain closed until the all-clear is issued, and updates on call center operations will be shared through official communication channels.

As conditions improve, GTA will prioritize the stabilization of core network sites, with broader restoration efforts to follow once it is safe to mobilize.

GTA appreciates the community’s patience and understanding and will continue to provide updates as restoration efforts progress.
