GTA Network Update: 80% of Wireless Network Restored; Crews Continue Repairs


(Tamuning, Guam- Saturday, April 18, 2026) - GTA reports that approximately 80% of its wireless network is now operational following Typhoon Sinlaku. Restoration has been ongoing since Guam entered Condition of Readiness (COR4).

Crews continue working across the island to repair damaged equipment and restore remaining sites, supported by a third-party vendor to enable around-the-clock work. Efforts will continue through the weekend to improve coverage and stability.

GTA’s call center and retail locations are open to assist customers. Some customers may still experience intermittent service as restoration continues.

Troubleshooting Tips

Trouble with your internet?

•Restart your modem/router

•Limit the number of connected devices

•Reduce interference and keep your router in an open area

Issues with mobile signal?

•Toggle airplane mode on/off

•Restart your phone

•Move to an open or elevated area (when safe)

TV not working?

•Check your internet connection

•Restart your set-top box or GTA TV app

•Ensure all cables are securely connected

Landline not working?

•Check phone connections and power

•Restart your modem (if internet-based)

•Try a different handset if available

Important Reminder

If your area has just regained power, allow a few minutes, then restart your devices to reconnect.

If service is still not restored after troubleshooting, call 671-644-4482.

GTA will continue to share updates as restoration progresses.
