GTA Reports 85% of Internet Customers Reconnected Following Typhoon Sinlaku

(Tamuning, Guam) Monday, April 20, 2026 - GTA continues islandwide restoration efforts following Typhoon Sinlaku, with steady progress across both internet and wireless services.

Approximately 85% of GTA’s internet customers are now connected. Wireless coverage has also improved significantly, reaching about 90% as crews continue bringing additional sites back online.

Remaining service disruptions are largely due to ongoing commercial power outages. As power is restored by the Guam Power Authority (GPA), service availability is expected to continue improving.

Since before the storm’s impact, GTA teams and third-party partners have been working around the clock to assess damage, refuel generators, and restore connectivity across the island. Efforts remain focused on safely and efficiently returning all remaining sites to service.

Customers experiencing issues are encouraged to restart their devices and check connections. If problems persist, they may contact GTA’s support team at 671-644-4482 for assistance.

GTA thanks the community for its continued patience and understanding as restoration efforts progress.
