GTA Supports Rota Recovery with Water and $5,000 Fuel Card Donation

(TAMUNING, Guam) Thursday, July 16, 2026 – GTA today donated 60 cases of bottled water and a $5,000 fuel card to the Mayors' Council of Guam, through Hågat Mayor Kevin Susuico and the Association of Mariana Islands Mayors, in support of ongoing recovery efforts in Rota following the devastating impacts of Super Typhoon Bavi.

The donation will help support charter boats transporting essential supplies to and from Rota, providing much-needed relief to residents as recovery efforts continue.

Earlier this morning, GTA representatives joined local leaders at the Hågatña Boat Basin to witness the departure of the first relief charter boat organized by the island's mayors. The effort marks the beginning of continued community-led support to deliver critical supplies to the island.

The Mayors' Council of Guam continues to accept donations at the Hågat Mayor's Office for Rota recovery efforts Monday through Friday, from 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Requested items include butane gas, bottled water, Clorox wipes, rice, canned goods, and other non-perishable food items.

GTA extends its thoughts to everyone impacted by Super Typhoon Bavi and remains committed to supporting relief efforts that strengthen and uplift our island communities.
