Tamuning, Guam, (Friday, July 8, 2020) - GTA today announced the donation of hundreds of reusable masks and hand sanitizers to the Guam Police Department. The local telecom company procured enough supply to help protect our men and women in uniform and limit the spread of the novel coronavirus.
GTA launched Team Up for Guam initiative in March, with the goal to help frontline workers, first responders, and the island community by making meaningful donations to assist them during this pandemic
Laura Nelson Cepeda, Director of Public Relations and Corporate Citizenship, says, “We are grateful for all our frontline workers in every agency, company and non-profit organization. We thank them for their daily service and sacrifice to keep our island safe, most notably during these unprecedented times.” The masks and hand sanitizers were delivered this week for use by the Guam Police Department.
-Feeding frontline workers and first responders Assisting the University of Guam by providing smartphones and free service for students participating in distance learning
-Giving smartphones and increased bandwidth to GRMC to help patients communicate with their families
