GTA Sponsors 'Surf the Basin' Competition

(Tamuning, Guam) Monday, January 23, 2023- On Saturday, January 21, local surfers and bodyboarders harnessed the waves and competed in the '2023 Surf the Basin' professional surfing competition at the Hagåtña Boat Basin.

GTA proudly sponsored the event and donated airline miles for the top competitors to use for off-island competitions. Recipients of the airline miles include Noa Mendiola, men's overall surf winner, and Jonathan Leon Guerrero, 1st place winner in the open bodyboard division.

The '2023 Surf, the Basin' event was the first surf competition since the pandemic.
