GTA Receives Recognition from University of Guam Endowment Foundation for Philanthropic Contributions
(Tamuning, Guam) Monday, March 6. 2022- GTA is proud to have received a certificate of recognition from the University of Guam Endowment Foundation for being one of its top 40 philanthropic donors over the past 40 years. The certificate was presented to GTA on Friday, March 3rd.
As Guam's longest-serving telecom company, GTA has always believed in supporting higher learning and the University of Guam's mission to provide quality education to its students. GTA's partnership with UOG has been long-standing, and we are proud to have supported various academic programs, research initiatives, and scholarship funds over the years.
Throughout the years, GTA has provided support for several UOG initiatives, including the School of Business and Public Administration, the Advisory Council, Start Up Weekend Micronesia, the Micronesia Area Research Center, the Conference on Island Sustainability, and the Marine Lab. Additionally, GTA pledged to support $200,000 to UOG in a Capital Campaign in 2012, and has also supported Triton Esports, galas, cultural concerts, and graduations.
According to Katrina Perez, Executive Director of the UOG Endowment Foundation, "Our partnership with GTA goes beyond the many donations. GTA is also helping us because many employees at the company are products of the University. All of these individuals give back to the UOG, and we're proud and thankful for the longstanding relationship."
As a company that values giving back to the community, GTA remains committed to supporting organizations and initiatives that aim to make a positive impact on the lives of fellow Guamanians.
